Legacy Hall Now Open
The wait is over. Legacy Hall – one of the nation’s largest new food halls is now open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Dedicated to serving the best-of food trends prepared by premier chefs and local artisans, the three-story, 55,000-square-foot European-style food hall, brewery, and live music and entertainment venue is located at 7800 Windrose Ave.

Conceiving, designing, and building a concept of this magnitude takes a lot of work – including visits to many of the top food halls across the globe – and we can’t wait to show off the results at this incredible dining and entertainment destination.”
Gensler designed Legacy Hall, and like the food hall’s cuisine, the architecture is simple, honest, and well crafted. Raw wood, concrete, steel, modified shipping containers, exposed ductwork, conduits, and pipes are all carefully and purposefully arranged to create a functional artistic expression of what a building is.
Legacy Hall features an eclectic collection of 20 artisanal food stalls featuring everything from elevated Neapolitan pizzas, gourmet burgers, and Baja-style tacos, to worldly selections like shawarma, yakitori, and bao steam buns. As guests explore the modern industrial first floor, they will encounter a natural wine and charcuterie bar, a rotating food stall with an ever-changing menu, and a sprawling craft cocktail bar called Bar Main.
The second floor comprises Legacy Hall’s main seating area, comfortably accommodating 250 or more guests. A single food stall, Sea Breeze Lobsta’ & Chowda’ House, can also be found here, along with an indoor/outdoor bar – the Good View Bar – that opens onto a balcony overlooking the Box Garden.
The third floor houses a fully functioning craft brewery – Unlawful Assembly Brewery & Tap Room – featuring classic pub fare and 21 operating tanks used to crank out its portfolio of premium year-round beers, along with a rotating tap selection of highly creative, collaborative, and seasonal beers. The brewery will open with six premium beers – The Antagonist Amber Lager, Public Dissent Pale Ale, Deviant Behavior Belgian Wit, Real American Brown Ale, Idol Time Passion Pineapple Wheat, and Barrel Aged Brown Ale. Starting in January, UABC will commission the canning line and prepare for distribution off-site.
Gensler’s strategic architectural design had to accompany the beer tanks’ atypical placement on the second and third floors. “The weight of the brewing tanks is equal to supporting roughly 100 elephants,” said Gensler Principal Barry Hand. “The load-bearing requirements and codes for a brewery of this capacity were an interesting puzzle to solve.”
Guests will also enjoy the eye-catching tap room within the brewery that serves as an ideal gathering place for people looking to enjoy the sights and sounds of a working brewery while hanging out with friends. The UABC Tap Room will host private parties and acoustic live music shows in a unique and intimate setting. Tours and tastings will be available for private events.
The Box Garden – opening spring 2018 – will be located on the ground level adjacent to the food hall. Constructed from reclaimed shipping containers, this expansive courtyard will hold more than 1,500 people and house Carlton Provisions BBQ along with multiple bars including a tiki bar, Texas stillhouse bar, margarita cantina, rotating pop-ups, and even a Hawaiian shaved ice stand. The heart of the Box Garden will be the 600-square-foot event stage with an LED screen that will provide constant entertainment for Legacy Hall’s guests.
Legacy Hall will be open Monday through Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Thursday from 7 a.m. to 12 a.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. With accommodations and event packages available for groups from 25 to 2,000, Legacy Hall is the go-to spot for an unforgettable party.

BLIST’R NAAN WRAPS
Blist’r – Fresh Naan Wraps brings a modern and contemporary Indian approach to fresh naan wraps in the newly opened Legacy Food Hall in Plano. The history of the spice trail and the exotic nature of specialized Indian recipes are captured in every bite of the chicken tikka, coconut curry short ribs, and the vindaloo paneer wraps – with a blend of well
complemented seasonings and accompaniments in the naan fillings
of tomatillo kachumber, cilantro rice and ‘first in DFW area’ sauces like curry aioli and Indian herbed ranch dressings.
There’s quite a bit that can be said regarding Chef Enrique Urrutia, and it all starts with his dedication to excellence. Armed with over 20 years of experience working with some of the best chefs in the industry and a loaded artillery of highly-rated Zagat reviews, Chef Urrutia is in the business of making dishes that keep people coming back for seconds.
When it comes to fine meats, Carlton Provisions knows a thing or two and we are in good hands with owners Larry Lavine and Jordan Swim. Swim founder of Vestals Catering, a 10-year-old catering company and Lavine, the famed founder of Chili’s bring decades of experience to Legacy Hall and for them preparing prime meats is a labor of love. Just check out some of their tastiest creations like oak-fired brisket, Berkshire pork, 5-hour ribs and house-prepared sausage that’s oh so good.
DEGENHARDT’S BRAT HAUS
Dallas is known for its BBQ and other meat-lover favorites, but brats have always been an afterthought. Joshua and Kristin Degenhardt are changing the game. This husband-and-wife team aims to bring Dallas the best tasting brats in the state. Joshua, a German-born sausage-maker, expertly crafts unique flavors ranging from the traditional German brat to Honey & Garlic and other tasty creations.
Few pairings are celebrated quite like wine and charcuterie. Born and nurtured from such countries as Spain, Italy and right here in the U.S., various specialized cheeses and meats are offered for you to enjoy. Their wine selection speaks for itself and is a must. Lunch and dinner fans unite – you can enjoy wine and these delectable bites for both if you’d like!
ENTER THE BAO
Baos. Soft, puffy, warm, and slightly sweet. It can be filled with anything the heart desires. That’s what Chef Roger Wang does at “Enter The Bao.” His unique and delicious bao creations put a new spin on traditional baos. Fillings for the baos include sweet, succulent pork belly to savory braised kalbi beef to chicken sausage with the right amount of “snap” in each bite.

These waffles are on another level! Brothers, Bryan and Caleb Lewis pride themselves on the fact that they are bringing an AUTHENTIC Belgian waffles experience to Dallas TX. Press Waffle Co. started on Kickstarter as a way to gather enough $dough$ to buy a food truck and has quickly escalated into a Belgian sensation! Their food stall at Legacy Hall is their first brick and mortar location in the Dallas metroplex and they are excited to change the way people think about the waffle.
RED STIX YAKITORI & BANH MI
If you’re unfamiliar with yakitori-grilled meats, it’s time you were acquainted. Create your very own vermicelli bowl or Banh Mi. Their skewers are nothing short of unbelievably mouthwatering. Each one is paired with tender meat strips that are seared to perfection. It doesn’t stop there – each one is dipped in their top-secret sauce for an extra kick of flavor. It’s worldly cuisine created by a “ABC’s The Taste” competitor on Anthony Bourdain’s team and a regular on EyeOpener TV sharing her unique recipes.

Since joining the seafood industry in 1988, owner, founder, and dad Rick Oruch has focused on providing quality products and creating an environment that innovatively features fresh fish.
